About Me

I am a professional web developer with the Legacy Furniture Group. This website is my online portfolio. With 4 years of professional experience in the field of web developing I have been involved in a number of different projects from front-end to back-end interfaces. As with most technologies today you have to be a self learner and even though I’ve only had my degree for a few years I’ve been working with web technologies for 10+ years. Started out more as a hobby and did a few freelance jobs here and there.

Most of my work was designed using WordPress as a CMS creating and customizing themes. The coding mainly consisted of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Java, jQuery, and WordPress internal functions. I’ve created a few shopping carts to work with a number of different 3rd party merchants including Paypal. I created eBooks, YouTube videos, Intros, and Tutorials which lead to learning a lot of different software.

I finished my Associates degree in Web Technologies in December of 2011 at the Catawba County Community College. While there I tutored and helped 30+ fellow students in my class, was a lab assistant for 2 semesters. I was also the president of the Entrepreneur Club and helped start up their first Community Shark Tank.

I am currently employed by Legacy Furniture Group (now owned by Haworth) and do a number of different office duties including maintaining their Website, Receivables, and help out with inventory tracking.
